The Beauty of Everyday Rituals is an installation conceived by textile artist Teresa Nunes for the Roca Lisboa Gallery, as part of Roca’s sponsorship of Lisbon Design Week 2026. The exhibition explores the relationship between memory, well-being, and the daily rituals associated with the bathroom, inviting reflection on this space as an intimate, sensory place dedicated to personal care.

Inspired by the neoclassical architecture of the 1909 building and Roca’s history in the world of the bathroom—which began in 1929 with the production of bathtubs—the exhibition establishes a dialogue between the space, textiles, light, and color. The installation invites reflection on bathing as an intimate and sensory ritual, relating it to the culture of water, personal care, and the experience of living.

Using linen, cotton, and antique fabrics dyed with natural plants, Teresa Nunes explores the memory and sensory dimension of everyday objects and gestures. The textile compositions reveal different atmospheres throughout the exhibition, ranging from warmer, earthy tones to lighter, more ethereal environments, evoking the relationship between the body, water, and dwelling.

This exhibition will be on view from May 27 to August 28.
